“Sometimes I write with a pencil To erase the damage.”

-Brandon Isaac

My name is Brandon Isaac and I’m a storyteller. I was born in Cincinnati Ohio; Cultivated by a loving big family. Emceeing and the arts is where I find solace. I wouldn’t say it’s my calling. But through writing and music I can express my deepest emotions, insecurities, and downloads from my ancestors. I have a deep passion for community and working with the youth. Their stories along with the wisdom of the elders fuel my creativity and my direction in this country Called earth 🌍. My mission is to do the best I can to help repair the anxiety, addiction, depression, and damage in my bloodline. But I don’t want to kill myself to do that. I want to be in a healthy body, mind, spirit, and heart. When I’m in that center I do my best work.

When you begin the act of self-expression, it is to be an intimate moment between you and your medium. It is a moment to be honest about what’s going on inside of you. The moment you consider what external elements may think or feel outside of this practice, you have killed the magic. Enjoy this space. Once it’s given to the world, it does not belong to you anymore. So use this time to connect and discover something about yourself. Don’t worry about resonating with the audience. You don’t want to get in the habit of creating for others. Illusions are hard to maintain.

Introspection

I appreciate when my favorite artists embrace introspection in their music. The way writers, poets, and lyricists express vulnerability and honesty resonates deeply within me. In today’s world, genuine vulnerability and authenticity have become increasingly scarce, much like rare Pokémon cards, as many individuals tend to imitate others and focus solely on how they are perceived. Personally, I find little value in that. With my latest project, I've aimed to capture my current state of being. This way, when I look back on my life in a decade, I can reflect and celebrate my growth and evolution as a person.
